WHAT DOES ZEN MEAN…

Just as I ask those to find their own way in fitness and nutrition, I feel this is the same for each and everyone’s spirituality and state of mind.

The word zen is derived from Buddhism - meaning the mind without mind, a state of “no-mindness”. In other words, not obsessed with certain thoughts or emotions, yet being open with no attachments. Can be a form of mediation or emphasizing intuition.

My definition of Zen is to be calm and at peace. Not to take outside events personally nor react to everything external. Knowing that the only thing I can control, is my thoughts and actions. Learning to keep my energy positive, block negativity and knowing when to leave environments that are toxic. Understanding that growth should be constant and takes practice, consistency, and commitment. I believe whatever helps you get to this state should be implemented and ultimately shared with others.

Who doesn’t want to live with an inner peace that can not be rocked? To have chaos around but still be calm and unaffected within? To shoot toward bettering yourself and living your most purposeful — best life!
