What are online coaches for...

What is exactly an online coach?  I tried to google it to find the “proper” definition but I was not able to find anything specific so……I can explain what I offer and don’t offer instead.

you are looking for nutritional coaching and guidance

you would like to learn how to track calories/macros

you need help with consistency

you want to be held accountable

need a program to help you reach your goals

you’ve tried other diets/programs and they have not worked for you

you want to lose a few pounds

you want to tone or build muscle

Sorry, I can’t help you if….
You have never lifted weights or worked out before.  Members do have access to me and my exercise video library if you have questions on the movements; however if you are brand new and have no idea about proper form, I highly encourage you to see a personal trainer (I am certified but currently only provide online support) or someone to help you first to get the basics down.
    
You want someone to tell you what to eat every meal every day.  Sorry I believe in balance and eating what you like and is convenient for you, not what I do, or John or Sally likes to eat.
    
You believe you have to give up all your favorite foods to be on a “diet”.   Hey, if that makes you happy, go ahead but don’t get into the mind set of all or nothing….

You believe you have to do cardio only to lose weight.  You can find dozens of cardio programs online….don’t need me for this.

You want to lose a drastic amount of weight in a short period of time.  Sure I can help you, but sorry I won’t.  I believe in long term and sustainable….not short term programs that will damage your metabolism and your head.

You don’t want me to check in on you.   You can certainly ignore me or ask for less frequency – but if you are committed to getting the results that you want, I am going to constantly be a reminder of the goals you want for yourself.

Need a specific program I am not comfortable providing you with…..Let’s say for instance you are tennis player and you want to get better.  I can help you with your conditioning and building the muscles you would use; however I am not a tennis coach and don’t know how to make your back swing better. I will not pretend I know something just to get a new client.  I am real and straightforward – if I can’t help, something is not possible, or your goals are not realistic - I will tell you.

Unless you are just maintaining your physique and have no fitness goals, I personally believe online coaches can be beneficial.  I am not saying I am the right one for you….you need to find someone that fits your personality, have the same beliefs and you like their style.  Just as in relationships there is someone out there for everyone.
