Do Your Thing......

Do your damn thing…..
 
Throughout my fitness journey, I've been given a lot of solicited, unwanted, and un-welcomed advice. Nowadays it seems that there is a lot more judging and/or my workout is better than yours type of mentality.

Some believe there is only one "right way" to reach your goal and will belittle you if you don’t agree.

 
Some have to label you…you’re a "body builder", "Crossfitter", "powerlifter", "runner", etc. and if you don’t fit in one of these boxes, you "don’t know what you are doing" and for heaven’s sake you can’t add both body building exercises and powerlifting exercises in your routine.
 
Why do some take it upon themselves to evaluate how others choose to work out? What's the reason for the hate?

Who cares if you pump iron, jump rope, do yoga, go to group classes, or do a little of everything?
 
I believe your workout program should be what you find enjoyable and at the same time brings you closer to achieving your goals.
 
Instead of bashing and critiquing someone else’s fitness journey why don’t we encourage others to be engaged in physical activities that we enjoy, live a healthier lifestyle and just do our own damn thing?
 
Through my website I’d like to prove that the "bro-science" type mentality is not the only way to obtain the physique you desire. Hopefully I can encourage you to find your own way….which ultimately will make you healthier and happier.
